Susan’s Own CBD Muscle Balm: In Review

If you’re thinking that Susan’s Own sounds familiar, it’s because we reviewed some of their CBD Gummies (which you can see here) earlier this year. Those, of course, have their use, but what about the aches and pains that settle in as a normal part of life? That’s where the targeted, topical application of something like Susan’s Own CBD Muscle Balm comes in.

Susan’s Own CBD Muscle Balm: Effective

The question on your mind is, of course, whether or not Susan’s Own CBD Muscle Balm actually works. Well, we won’t bury the lede – for me, it definitely did. I tend to get tightness in my shoulders, neck, and lower back, and I found noticeable relief from applying the balm. I won’t say that it completely eliminated the pain (and really, you shouldn’t expect it to), but it definitely knocked it down a few pegs.

Ingredients

So, then, how does it work? Well, to start with, it’s going to be the CBD. But they also include menthol and camphor (which I’ve had good success in using treatments that use those as well), as well as arnica. If you’re not familiar with natural remedies, you may not know what arnica is. We’ve used it in the past to help with aches and pains, as well with reducing inflammation. Those are good things with muscle aches, of course, and it all works together to create a super-handy bit of pain relief.

Scent

You will want to be aware that there is an assertive scent to the Susan’s Own CBD Muscle Balm. Then again, most muscle relief you apply topically has it as well. Just know if you’ve got the menthol and camphor in there, that’s what your nose is going to pick up on.

Non Greasy

Oh, and about their statement that the balm is not greasy – that, I do agree with. That said, if you put on a shirt right over the top of where you just applied it, it will feel a bit tacky there for a bit while the balm soaks in. Again, not a knock against it, it’s how the product has to be to work. Just don’t treat it like some dry application, and you’ll be good to go.

Susan’s Own CBD Muscle Balm: Price

For me, I’ve been making good use of the Susan’s Own CBD Muscle Balm. Depending on what I’ve got going on in the day, I tend to put some on the soreness before I go out for my walk/jog (if I woke up tight), or maybe apply it a bit before bed. Either way works, and of course, if things get really tight during the day, it’s easy enough to apply when you’re working from home (the scent might raise some eyebrows if you’re in the office). If you want to pick up your own stick, it’s available for $74.99 directly from susansown.com
