Often, when we get news of an upcoming release, we’re under embargo and are unable to tell you about things until it’s actually launched. While the Diesel Gen 6 Griffed Smartwatch is not going to be available until December 1, 2022, we’re able to give you the heads-up now.
Now, you probably know Diesel more for their denim and other apparel, as well as their fashion-oriented watches. Well, they’ve also been producing smartwatches in collaboration with Fossil. Which means, the Diesel Gen 6 Griffed Smartwatch is going to be similar in many ways to the other Gen 6 smartwatches (one of which we reviewed here). In terms of the internals, it’s got the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ that we’ve been seeing in the WearOS watches as of late.
The bigger news is that the Diesel Gen 6 Griffed Smartwatch comes with WearOS 3 right out of the box. Many WearOS watches are rather the same in how they work, with the main differentiation being in the dial that you select for the thing. With Diesel, you’re getting their more aggressive approach to style showing up. This is most evident in the bracelet version that has spines running down it, closely followed by the bold rubber strap version.
As we mentioned, the wide availability of the Diesel Gen 6 Griffed Smartwatch – at $350 – happens on December 1st. If you want to get one now, though, it looks like Amazon has it up for order (product page). Come December 1, we’re guessing it’ll also be showing up over at shop.diesel.com
