With flashlights, you’ve got no shortage of options. Do you want massive battery life? Perhaps, you’re looking for something that’s not an LED (which is where LEP comes in)? Or, you know, you just want something a bit simpler to carry with you regularly that won’t weigh you down. That’s where the Slughaus Bullit Flashlight comes in to play.
Slughaus Bullit Flashlight: what it is
The Slughaus Bullit Flashlight is a super-compact flashlight meant for EDC (everyday carry) purposes. Coming in at just 18 grams and 43mm long, this is a 100-lumen flashlight that won’t weigh down your key ring. The big thing to note is that, if you want to use the light, you’re not actually having to hold your keys in your hand.
The Slughaus Bullit Flashlight has a magnet built into it’s tail cap, which then allows it to just click onto the base – and the base is what is connected on your key ring. This also means you could easily hook it onto a metal surface (say, the hood of your car) to get hands-free illumination on what you’re looking at.
And even though the Slughaus Bullit Flashlight is tiny, it doesn’t mean you can’t focus what the beam is doing. The aluminum body actually telescopes out some, which allows the lens to move further away from the Cree LED, so that’s solid that you’ve got some fine-tuning. Additionally, with the tail cap button, you can switch between high, moonlight, or SOS mode.
Wrapping things up
The Slughaus Bullit Flashlight is going to be available in two colors, Vanta Black (no, it’s not actually coated in vantablack) or silver. Both versions are powered the same, with a stack of three button cell batteries (they’ll ship with two sets, so you’ll have a backup). A single flashlight is available at $25, and a two-pack (one of each color) can be yours for $35. The campaign is fully funded, and runs through December 20, 2024; delivery is anticipated for June of 2025. kickstarter.com
