Now Funding: Visual Measuring Spoons

Now, I know what you’re thinking – why in the world do we need a crowdfunding campaign for measuring spoons, of all things? Well, the clever folks over at Welcome Industries has a great idea, and that’s why the campaign for Visual Measuring Spoons exists.

These are an extension of their Visual Measuring Cups, though not quite a literal translation. The Visual Measuring Spoons look to solve something that can be tricky – knowing which measuring spoon to grab. Sure, they’re printed or stamped on, but if you’re using anything other than simple scoop style ones, you all but have to read it. Tricky, and if you’re a kid or your eyesight isn’t 20/20, it’ll slow you down.

With this, anyone – even kids – can quickly grab the measuring spoon they need, and be on their way. This is as simple as it is clever, and I like the idea. These are made of Tritan (BPA-free) in Chicago, and you can back a set with pricing starting at $18. The campaign isn’t fully funded yet, but it runs until February 12, so it’s got time to hit that mark. campaign page
