Back during CES, we teased that we’d be seeing more mophie Qi2 products. That’s becoming a realization now with three new products, one of which is available right now.
What is Qi2?
As you’re undoubtedly aware, Qi is a wireless charging standard. This is why it’s easy for us – now – to be able to put a phone or headphones on a charging pad and have it just work. With Qi2, the standard has been updated. You can read more about it here, but the headline is that you have faster, more efficient charging. Magnetic alignment is part of it, but even if your device doesn’t have MagSafe, you can still use these chargers.
