Apple patents reveal in-phone breathalyzer, car key storage

As Apple moves closer to emptying out your pockets for digital equivalents, it should come as no surprise that Apple Car Key is in the works, as is clear with Apple’s newest patents on the feature, which allows users to unlock their car with their Apple devices.

This would also come bundled with a breathalyzer function, which would make users breath into their phone in order to drive their car. While unorthodox, the feature would fall in line with the EU’s newly established car safety laws, which require every vehicle sold after May 2022 to have built in breathalyzers and speed limiters.
