In another exciting episode of “Who’s Leaking Now?” we present Twitch.tv, a victim of a hack that led to their entire source code being made available on 4chan in a 126GB Torrent file.
I haven’t been able to download the code but it appears that the horde contains the “site’s mobile, desktop and console Twitch clients.”

It also accessed “proprietary SDKs and internal AWS services used by Twitch,” other properties like IGDB and CurseForge, an unreleased Steam competitor from Amazon Game Studios (code-named Vapour) and Twitch SOC internal red-teaming tools. It also shows creator payouts from 2019 until now, including top streamers like Nickmercs, TimTheTatMan and xQc .
The hacked data doesn’t seem to contain the passwords, addresses, or banking information of various Twitch figures but you should probably change your password and turn on two-factor authentication just to be sure.
The hack appears to be in retaliation for Twitch’s apparent failure to crack down on hate raids that have forced some streamers to stop broadcasting.
