Something to try from your table – taking over a Moonshine Empire

In and amongst this pandemic lockdown, folks have no doubt been keeping an eye on many of their grocery store staples, including those that fall into the category of “adult beverages”. Heck, even John was doing some distilling in a recent Zoom meetup we did with readers. So, why not turn that into a board game? That’s what you’ve got in Moonshine Empire.

In this, you’re competing with the other players to build out your own Moonshine Empire, all while angling to take over the empire that Pappy has built up. You’ve got your basic worker placement decisions to make, but then you’ve got an auction system (that is supposed to address analysis paralysis) as well as a very well-themed map, components, and game itself.

I’m keeping this one short, as Moonshine Empire is closing out on Kickstarter in just a few days on April 15th (at 11pm Central time). In other words, if you’re interested, get over to that page and make your pledge. The basic game will run you $49, while going for the deluxe version takes it to $59.
