Netflix has announced a new subscription add-on, which will lock a previously available feature, (the ability to share your account passwords with others), behind a paywall.
The feature will allow users to share their accounts outside their households for “a bit more”, and will be first tested in Costa Rica, Chile, and Peru. The pricing in these regions will be 2.99 USD, 2,380 CLP (~2.97), and 7.9 PEN (~2.13 USD) respectively, and the test run will begin “over the next few weeks”.
