Just released: Govee Hexagon Light Panels Ultra

We here at KN are not immune to the siren call of RGB lighting. At first it was just in our keyboards, mice, and other computer hardware, but now it’s showing up everywhere. You can get it in your floor lamp, in your outdoor lighting, and even in your plain old lightbulbs. Well, you can also use it for accent lighting and art on your walls if you pick up the just-released Govee Hexagon Light Panels Ultra.

What are they?

For that, there’s no mystery. The Govee Hexagon Light Panels Ultra are exactly what they say they are. They’re hexagon-shaped light panels that build on the Govee expertise with RGB LEDs. For this, they’re using both surface lighting (the large part of the panel) as well as edge lighting, which you can see in the video down below. The base kit comes with 10 panels, but it can be expanded out to support 20 panels, for whatever your design needs are.

How do you control them?

Of course, there’s the Govee app. If you’ve got a specific pattern or look your going for, there’s their Freestyle software that allows you to configure what it is you want in there. On the other hand, you can also choose from one of 60 presets that come with them right out of the box. Us? We’re waiting to see someone turn this into a Q-bert animation jumping around on their wall. They also work with a number of other systems, such as Govee DreamView, Razer Chroma, Govee Desktop, Alexa, and Google Assistant, allowing you to sync up all of your lighting.

How can you get them?

While the Govee Hexagon Light Panels Ultra were announced today, they’re not available to purchase just yet. When they are out on September 25, 2023, you can get your set of 10 panels (in either grey or white) for $349.99. Also, if you find yourself at the League of Legends Championship in New Jersey this weekend, you can see the panels in person at the Govee booth. govee.com
