Introducing: Gear4 Orlando

We’ve talked about a number of different phone and tablet cases, which we feel offer a solid tradeoff between protection for your device and protecting its sleek lines. On the other hand, if you’re setting up a tablet for a child to use, you want to give that device as much protection as you can. The latest to come available is the Gear4 Orlando.

As with most Gear4 cases we’ve seen, the Gear4 Orlando offers 6.5ft of drop protection – so it should be a-ok when your 3ft tall toddler has it slip from their hands. Rather than focusing on a harder material to provide the protection, we’ve got a thick EVA foam that forms the case. With that, you’ve still got access to all of the ports and buttons, while channels direct the sound from the speakers forward.

There’s also a set of arms added to the back of the Gear4 Orlando. These can be used as a carry handle (easier for the kiddos than carrying the tablet in both hands), a kickstand while they’re using it, or even as a way to latch the iPad around the headrest in the car, if you’re using it to keep them entertained on a roadtrip.

The Gear4 Orlando is available now for the 10.2″ iPad in either blue or coral for $39.99. Oh, also worth noting? The case has an anti-microbial treatment on it, which should help keep it clean and scent-free while your kids are putting it through it’s paces. zagg.com
