It’s hard not to be pessimistic about Samsung’s foldable line-up of devices. On one hand, their foray into modern folding smartphones has been unprecedented and innovative, but on the same grain, this means Samsung has little to no reason to create massive strides in the space, due to its lack of competition from other mainstream smartphone giants. This is clearly visible in the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which’s defining features are an improved wide camera, a slimmer design, and not much else.
While its price remains stagnant, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 brings little to the table in comparison to its predecessor, which begs the question as to whether the smartdevice is worth the current pricepoint, especially as Apple is rumored to be planning to release its own foldable smartphones in the not-so-distant future.
