Hey, you all remember 1More, right? We introduced you to them with a review of a pair of wireless earbuds (you can see that here), and wrote about their follow-on earbuds here. Well, earbuds aren’t for everyone, we get that. For me, I like them for exercise and quick calls, but for all-day wear, I prefer over-ear headphones, preferably with active noise cancellation. Well, that’s precisely what we’ve got with the just-released 1More SonoFlow.
What really caught my eye about these was actually the power delivery system. For one, they’re promising a 70-hour battery life with ANC off (and 50-hour with ANC on), meaning that these will be ready to go the whole work week between charges. And if you do need to get a quick boost? Via the USB-C charging (and I presume a quick-charge capable charger), 5 minutes on the charger will get you 5 more hours of use. So, not bad to hit a quick top-off between calls (just don’t make it a habit and needlessly burn through charge cycles) in our book.
In terms of connections, the 1More SonoFlow gives you what you’d expect and want from a pair of headphones – a bluetooth connection that can connect to two devices at the same time (your laptop and your phone, say) keeping you in the loop and in the music as needed. They’ve also included the ability to use the standard 3.5mm audio cable, so you can hook into wired sources as well.
For the ANC side of things, the 1More SonoFlow has 5 mics to pick up (and block) external noise, which should be good to block it from your ears (we’ll have to test it to see how it does with blocking noise that would be transmitted on any calls).
The overall look of the 1More SonoFlow is clean and subtle, and shouldn’t attract any second glances for flashy plastics or blinking lights. So, it’s got the look, and appears to have the specs, what about pricing? That makes these even more compelling for a solid entry-level ANC headset. They’re coming in at just $99 (and for the first month, you can use the code SONOFLOW20 to drop $20 off), and that’s including a carrying case. Really, these do seem like they could be challengers to my current budget favorites from Anker, so we’re working to get in a pair to test them out.
