OneWorld 65W Adapter-Charger (Reviewed)

OneWorld 65W Adapter-Charger: A little bit ago, we told you about a new device that seemed perfect for travel, combining a universal plug adapter with USB-A and USB-C charging ports (you can see that here). Since then, we’ve gotten the OneWorld 65W in, and have been spending some time with it.

Now, you’re probably wondering how it is that I could test the OneWorld 65W if I’ve not actually been traveling to other parts of the world. Well, wouldn’t you know it, it also works just fine as a charging brick right here at home. And that’s what I’ve done. A cinch to charge up your phone just using a single port, or charging up multiple things at once (so long as you don’t exceed that 65W max DC output).

As far as the other adapters that come out of the back, or even the universal plug on the front, those work just as you’d expect. The one big question you probably have is, well, just how big is this thing, and how will it fit in my travel bag? Up above, you can see it next to the adapter I used the last time we went to the UK. While the older adapter seems slightly smaller, once you consider the prongs don’t collapse, the OneWorld is basically the same size. Not only that, you’re getting a lot more USB output (two USB-A, three USB-C), plus whatever you can plug into the front. A serious upgrade, and worth it’s size.

Past any of that, you’re also getting a charger that relies on GaN technology for the charging, which is much more efficient. What this means, in practical terms, is that these charges don’t heat up nearly as much as older power bricks. All in all, a great upgrade, and perfect if you’re thinking about world travel again.
