CES 2024: NuraLogix Smart Mirror

If you ever wanted to live out your own Snow White fantasy (“Mirror, mirror, on the wall”) and instead use that mirror to get a picture of your health – and not embark on a path of villainy – then the announcement today from NuraLogix is where it’s at.

What’s interesting about this mirror is that it’s relying on AI to process what it scans. In 30 seconds, it supposed to get a full picture of your health, including blood pressure and things like risk assessments for type-2 diabetes. Perhaps not something that everyone would have for at-home use, but it could be interesting for quick health assessments at, say, your local health clinic. Here’s what the brand has to say about it:

Anura ™ MagicMirror™ is designed for conducting speedy and accurate physical and mental health assessments anywhere, anytime. When a user sits in front of the mirror, the device automatically detects this movement and begins conducting a 30-second scan. Gathering health data in this method without requiring tedious multiple manual inputs provides ease of use, especially for those with mobility issues, elderly populations, and more.

Anura ™ MagicMirror™ leverages the company’s patented Transdermal Optical Imaging (TOI™) technology, a novel form of Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) to automatically detect a person’s face, identify key regions of interest, and extract blood flow information. The data is sent to the cloud-based DeepAffex™ platform, which uses advanced signal processing and machine learning AI algorithms to calculate over 100 health parameters.

If you’re curious, here’s a list of all the things this mirror wants to quantify for you (and more details over at nuralogix.ai):
