Apple iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 Roll Out with New Features

Apple has rolled out its latest operating systems, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, and they’re ready for you to explore. To get started, navigate to ‘Settings’, select ‘General’, and then ‘Software Update’. Here, you can download the newest update. If you’re not in a hurry, you can let your iPhone or iPad handle the download during inactive hours, but remember to keep it on charge.

Before you dive into the update, ensure your device has ample battery life. It’s also wise to connect to Wi-Fi to avoid draining your mobile data. Once your device is updated, you’re ready to explore the new features. Apple iOS 17 introduces Contact Posters, a feature that allows you to customize how you appear on the recipient’s screen when you call them.

Features

You can design a full-screen calling card with a photo, emojis, and more. Another exciting feature is Live Voicemail, which transcribes voicemails to text on your lock screen in real time, allowing you to decide if you want to answer the call based on the message.

Other features include the ability to leave a video message on FaceTime, quickly share contacts using NameDrop by bringing your iPhone close to another one, an upgraded Private Browsing mode, improved Autocorrect, and a new set of emojis. iPadOS 17 hasn’t been left behind either.

It now allows you to add interactive widgets to your iPad’s home screen, enabling you to interact with information directly from the widgets. It also introduces lock screen customization, similar to the iPhone. The Health app is now available on the iPad with iPadOS 17, taking advantage of the larger screen to provide a comprehensive view of your health stats and data.

If you have an Apple Watch, you can sync it with your iPad to have all your health info on a bigger screen. The new features are supported by the latest devices, including the iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

For iPad owners, iPadOS 17 is supported by iPad (6th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2nd generation and later), 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation and later). So, if you’re ready to experience the latest in Apple’s operating systems, follow these simple steps and dive into the world of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.
