Walmart to expand drone delivery to five new states

Walmart has recently announced that it has plans to expand its experimental drone delivery service to over 4 million new households. These 34 new delivery hubs will span Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

The program relies on Walmart stores being within 1.5 miles from the target delivery destination, with the actual deliveries being shipped between 8 AM and 8 PM. The deliveries cost a fee of $3.99 and must be less than 10 pounds in total to be eligible. Walmart has stated that the packages should be delivered in as little as 30 minutes, which makes the offer appealing to anyone wanting to cut out quick trips to the store for a small upfront fee.
