Last week, US Authorities seized around $34 million in cryptocurrency that was linked to laundering attempts from an illicit dark web sale following the theft of hacked account information.
The crime was perpetrated by an unnamed South Florida resident, and involved hacked account information from HBO, Netflix, and Uber. The seizure was allegedly one of the largest crypto seizures ever filed by the US, following the recent seizure of $3.6B worth of bitcoin linked to the 2016 Bitfinex hack.
