While we tend to focus on the gear we use in the great outdoors, or the clothing and boots we wear, there’s another thing that we all need to ensure we’ve got handy – and that’s a first aid kit. You never know when you might take a tumble, or the knife slips while you’re preparing dinner. In those cases, the Happy Explorer First Aid Kit is a solid way to get things started.
Now, to be fair, you could build up your own kit with the things that you really prefer, in terms of bandages, ointments, and whatnot. But then you also have to consider what it is that you’ll need. On the other hand, a pre-built kit gets that ball rolling. It gets your bases covered, and then gives you a starting point for being able to swap stuff out over time, or replace as you use them.
The fact that the Happy Explorer First Aid Kit comes in a slide-lock case also helps. I’m not seeing a gasket around the edge, so it’s probably not completely waterproof, but it should keep stuff dry, and it will definitely keep things organized. They are billing this as a good case for your camping gear, and I’d agree. But it would also be handy to have in the trunk of your car, or even as a back “uh oh” sort of set of gear at home.
