Recently released: Zagg Invisible Shield Glass Elite for the Google Pixel 6a

When it comes to your shiny new phone, a case is probably one of the first things you think of when it comes to protecting your purchase. In our book, a good piece of tempered glass is important as well to protect that precious screen. I’ve used a number of different ones, but those that come from Zagg (under their Invisible Shield brand) have been simple to apply, and have worked great.

What makes them so easy to apply? They come with a tray that helps you get things aligned perfectly onto the phone, so the cutouts for things like the camera land right where they need to. Their Elite line also adds some things to the glass well:

Glass Elite is the next step in the evolution of unbeatable glass screen protection. Ion exchange technology increases strength and durability. ClearPrint™ makes fingerprints disappear from your screen. And now, Glass Elite has an anti-microbial treatment that protects the screen protector by inhibiting the growth of odor-causing bacteria.

Sure, you could get an inexpensive piece of glass online, but with that, you’re getting what you pay for. Myself, I don’t mind springing a little more to get something like this. For those looking for a case as well, Zagg’s transparent Gear4 Crystal Palace ($39.99) should be coming in August. For the tempered glass protector, you’ll need $49.99 and to head on over to zagg.com
