Recently Released: Casio Edifice ECB30P-1A

There are many folks who want or need a full-on smartwatch. Then there are those, of course, who want nothing to do with them, and prefer a traditional (quartz or automatic) watch that has no earthly way to communicate with your phone. If you find yourself somewhere between those two camps, then a watch like Casio Edifice ECB30P-1A is probably of interest to you.

Now, why would you want to connect the Casio Edifice ECB30P-1A to your phone? For one, with these more-complicated watches that are primarily analog, using the phone app can go a long way to helping you remember how to get into the various modes. Additionally, it automatically adjusts the time on your watch to what your phone has, and you can easily set and adjust things via the app. All a win in our book.

At least, that’s what I’ve used it for in the past when I’ve reviewed watches like the Casio Edifice ECB30P-1A. Past the smart watch connectivity, you’ve got the full complement of time keeping, including world time, countdown and chronograph timing, and a variety of alarms. Really, take a look at the full list of specs down below.

While the Casio Edifice ECB30P-1A derives some of its design from motorsports, it’s not overly racing themed in our judgement. If you’re looking for a solid quartz watch that has a lot of functionality, with a dash of Bluetooth connectivity in there for good measure, it’s hard to go wrong with an Edifice model. In this case, you’ll find it for $200 directly from casio.com
