Have you heard of Rogbid before? No? Well, neither have we, but looking through their catalog, they may be a sister brand to Kospet, as their Tank lines look quite similar (we reviewed the Kospet one here). Still, even if you’ve NOT heard of them, when you realize you can get into the smartwatch arena for just thirty bucks, well, then you’re willing to roll the dice.
What is it?
At its core, the Rogbid Rowatch 5 is a smartwatch not unlike many others out there – you get a rectangular case with a 2.1″ screen, interactions via the touch screen or the crown, and a host of sensors built in. What’s particularly interesting is what this watch is offering up on the health-tracking front:
How it can measure your blood glucose (without collecting blood) or measure your blood pressure with out a pressure cuff, that, we’re not certain of. But hey, if they’ve figured it out, well, that’s another handy few pieces of data to add into your health picture.
What sets the watch apart?
Well, obviously the health metrics are a key thing for the Rogbid Rowatch 5. Another point of interest is going to be the slight curve they’ve introduced to the case (and it seems like somewhat on the display), which would help the watch fit your wrist. On top of all of that, it’s the pricetag that is going to catch a lot of eyes – it’s just $30. Throw in a 4 – 12 day battery life (depending on how you configure tracking and notifications), and this is going to be a handy personal health tracker for yourself or someone you know.
