Online Stolen Data Market RaidForums Shut Down

Law enforcement agencies in Europe and the US recently announced a takedown of a massive illicit data trading platform, named RaidForums. RaidForums was used as a marketplace for illegally obtained credit card numbers, identification numbers of many kinds, and more.

The platform boasted around 500,000 users, making it one of the largest of its kind, filled with data unearthed from breaches, hacks, and other cyberattacks. The founder and administrator of RaidForums, Diogo Santos Coelho, was also charged for his involvement in the site’s usage, as well as his personal usage of the forum.
