Snapchat recently announced Pixy, a small, handheld, yellow drone small enough to fit in your pocket. The gadget costs $230 and will begin shipping later this month.
Pixy comes with 16 Gigabytes of flash storage, and shoots video at 2.7k and pictures with 12 megapixels of quality. The device won’t be capable of recording sound and will send taken photos and videos straight to snapchat memories.
The drone stands up pretty well on its own from what we’ve seen, with its only major competitors being products like the Air NEO, a similar drone at $150 with comparable, albeit slightly worse, features. For more professional purposes however, you’d be better off sticking with drones from companies like DJI, which have camera quality as their primary focus.
