M-Audio Forty Series: two new studio monitors with Bluetooth streaming

M-Audio, known for its solid and lower cost music gear, is answering the musicians with the launch of its new M-Audio Forty Series Studio Monitors. These monitors, featuring Bluetooth streaming and DSP-powered sound customization, are designed for musicians, producers, and creators who need professional sound in any space.

The Forty Series introduces two models: the Forty Sixty and the Forty Eighty, both built to deliver precise, powerful audio. These monitors are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 streaming and advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) for customizable sound. You can run XLR straight into the speakers and built-in modeling lets you set these beasts to flat, custom or “hype” mode.

“We designed the M-Audio Forty Series with today’s musicians, producers, and creators in mind. Our goal was to deliver precision sound, adaptability, and seamless connectivity that meet the evolving needs of both home and project studios,” said John Boudreau, Director of Product Management at M-Audio.

M-Audio Forty Series: Versatility for Any Setup

Whether you’re working in a home studio or a larger project space, the Forty Series is built to adapt. Users can fine-tune their sound using the M-Audio Forty Series Control App, which offers customizable presets and a 5-band EQ. These features help tailor the sound to your room or personal taste, making the Forty Series ideal for both professional and hobbyist use.

Key Features of the M-Audio Forty Series

  • DSP-powered sound customization: Customize crossover, EQ, and voicing for optimal sound in any room.
  • Professional-grade A/D converters: Enjoy low noise and accurate signal conversion for superior sound quality.
  • Front-panel instant listening modes: Switch between three modes—Flat for reference monitoring, Hype for enhanced listening, and Custom EQ for a personalized sound.
  • Bluetooth 5.0 streaming: Stream high-quality audio from any device with TWS (True Wireless Stereo) support.

The Forty Sixty is compact and powerful, with a 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter. Delivering 100 watts of total power, it’s perfect for smaller studios or personal workstations where space is limited but sound quality is critical. At $199, it’s a solid choice for creators who need precision without breaking the bank.

For those with larger setups, the Forty Eighty packs more punch with an 8-inch woofer, a 1.25-inch tweeter, and 150 watts of total power. Ideal for bigger spaces or more demanding audio projects, this model offers deeper bass and greater power at $299. You can check them out on M-Audio’s site.
