Just announced: Withings ScanWatch 2

When I reviewed the Withings ScanWatch Horizon (you can see that here), I declared that it was the perfect smart watch for me. And really, it has continued to be so, tracking my morning walk/jog, waking me up in the mornings, and just overall being a solid health measurement companion. Now there’s a brand new version out that slims things down a bit, called the Withings ScanWatch 2.

What is it?

The Withings ScanWatch 2 is, of course, an evolution of the ScanWatch platform. In terms of the looks, the external bezel is gone, so it looks a bit less like a sport watch, and looks more like a casual steel watch. This visually slims it down, as well as the fact that you can opt for a 38mm or 42mm case.

The really interesting thing that this version adds to the mix is 24/7 body temperature tracking. We don’t tend to think about our temperature until we’re not feeling well, but if you’re tracking and logging it (in the associated Withings app) you can see how things are trendy, or even how your body is reacting during your workout as well.

How can you order one?

As you would expect, it’s going to be directly from Withings, as it’s just a pre-order at the moment (though they will be landing at retailers this fall). Here’s how the pricing across the various versions works out: ScanWatch 2 (38 & 42 mm) is available now for pre-orders on Withings.com priced at $349.95 with a Silver Black (42mm), silver white (38mm), silver black (38mm) and Rose Gold sand face (38mm) and later on with a silver-white face (42mm) and Rose Gold blue face (38mm). ScanWatch Light, size 37mm, is available on pre-orders on Withings.com, priced at $249.95 with a silver black, silver white, and rose gold sand face and later on with a light blue and light green face. Both models will be widely available from selected retailers from October 2023. withings.com
