The PSVR 2 has just had its specs and features announced at CES 2022, alongside Horizon Call of the Mountain, a VR spinoff of the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn.
Sony has described the upcoming device as taking VR gaming to “a whole new level”, and has stated that the headsets’ enhanced specs will give users “a heightened range of sensations unlike any other”. The headset will feature brand new controllers, which take after other popular VR controllers such as those from the Oculus Quest series of devices, and include haptic feedback and finger touch detection.
The PSVR itself will feature two brand new OLED screens with either 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rates, as well as haptic feedback in order to fully immerse users into their games, and hopefully take VR gaming as a whole to the next level.
