Ending Soon: Earzz sound monitor

When we think about automating home security, we tend to focus on things that cameras are built into. Stand-alone cameras, doorbells, locks, and the like. What if you wanted something to help you keep an eye on things, without actually watching everything in your house? That’s where Earzz comes in.

In short, the Earzz is a small cube with a microphone in it – and some AI smarts – to listen for sounds. Not voices, not words, but sounds. Sounds like a knock at the door, a window getting broken, or a child crying. Whatever it is, through the associated phone app, you can set the Earzz up to listen for the sound you want, and then have it alert you on your phone when it happens.

Given how compact the Earzz is, and that you might want to listen for different things in different parts of your home, the app is built to handle you setting up multiple Earzz devices. The only thing that might hold you back a bit is the price. On the KS, you can get a single Earzz for an earlybird price of $73 (about the same price as an affordable camera you’d setup outside). That’s all you need to pay, but if you want, there are subscription tiers as well that add functionality.
