Circular Ring 2: CES 2025

Circular Ring 2

It feels like we’ve just become accustomed to being able to quantity aspects of our health. With smart watches, we can easily keep an eye on things like our daily activity, heart rate, and sleep patterns. When it comes time to head out for the day, you have to decide – keep wearing the smart watch, or trade over to a traditional watch for the office? You could opt for a regular watch on one wrist, and a smart watch on the other, but not everyone is going to dig that look. If that’s you, then something like the Circular Ring 2 just might be of interest.

Circular Ring 2: what it is

To put it simply, the Circular Ring 2 is a smart ring. Just about anything your watch can track, the ring can track as well. Your daily steps, heart rate, breathing rate, blood oxygen, and the like – it can keep track of. With this latest version, they’re also adding in FDA-approved ECG reading, so it can detect atrial fibrillation.

What we like about it

For most people (who aren’t training for a specific sport event), smart watches can be overkill. On the other hand, something like the Circular Ring 2 could certainly do most of the heavy lifting. For those who like having silent alarms to wake up, you can opt for a version that can vibrate; if that’s not you, then you can save a few dollars and go without the vibration function.

The tricky things with rings – unlike watches – is that they have very discrete sizes. If you know your ring size, then it’s easy to order. Most folks don’t, and don’t have access to a ring-sizing kit. Here again, Circular is helping us out. They’ve got an app for your phone and can determine your ring size digitally, setting you up for success in ordering.

Wrapping things up

Current versions of the Circular Ring are either $234 or $294, but the Circular Ring 2 commands a premium. When it’s available in February or March 2025, pricing is expected to be $380. However, there will be a crowd-funding campaign starting up later this month, so there may be some discounts to be had there. If you’re at CES this year, you can see the new ring in person at the Circular Booth Venetian Expo, Hall G, Business France Zone Booth 60601. circular.xyz
